Koum Quat
Kantuni di Corfu | Local Traditional Products Corfu

Koum Quat comes from southern Japan and China, where it has been cultivated since the 12th century. Its name in Chinese means "golden orange" because of its very small size.
In Greece, specifically in Corfu, it appeared in 1924 by the British agronomist Sidney Merlin, who planted the first kumquat tree in his farm and has been cultivated systematically ever since.

Koum quat gives beneficial properties to health due to antioxidants and is a source of vitamins A and C.
Our company cooperates with the internationally renowned distillery of Corfu of the Mavrommati family.
